ACM AWARDS UPDATE

Last night's 38th Annual ACM Awards was held for the first time in Las Vegas and had some of country music's biggest names either performing, handing out awards, and hosting the show.

Las Vegas legend Wayne Newton started off the show, dedicating the broadcast to the over 800,000 troops around the world before introducing the show's host, Reba McEntire.

Reba showed her funny side at the ceremony, introducing Toby Keith and Willie Nelson as "The Angry American and the Herbal American."

Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson and Rascall Flatts all took home two awards, Toby Keith snagged Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney was speechless over his Top Male Vocalist Award, and Martina McBride took home the Top Female Vocalist trophy.

There was a tense moment for fans and producers alike when Toby Keith failed to appear onstage to receive his award -- turns out he was in the bus with Willie Nelson.

"They couldn't find me," Toby told reporters later. "I was off on the bus with Willie and we'd started writing a song together. If I had known I won and been on stage I would have thanked My Lord God Almighty, my family, my management, all the folks at DreamWorks records, country radio and my fans."
