Country legend Kris Kristofferson celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a visit to his old haunt, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge in Nashville, Tenn. Introduced to the stage by a reverent John Rich (half of the duo “Big and Rich”), Kristofferson took the stage to perform one of his most popular hits “Me and Bobby McGee”—recorded by Roger Miller and his ex-girlfriend, Janis Joplin. He also recounted one of the most popular stories of the past—how Tootsie herself used to eject patrons of her bar by sticking them with her hat pin. In front of a packed crowd, Kristofferson was enthusiastically welcomed home to the famous stage on Lower Broadway.
