2005 CMA Awards Winners
Keith Urban and Lee Ann Womack pulled down the big prizes at the Nov. 15 CMA Awards, held for the first time in New York City. Keith repeated as Male Vocalist champ, then took home the night's top honor, Entertainer of the Year, beating out defending titlist, and odds-on favorite, Kenny Chesney. Lee Ann was the overall winner in terms of numbers, copping three CMA trophies: Musical Event (with George Strait), Album and Single. Hosts Brooks & Dunn won for the 13th time in the Vocal Duo category, which they essentially have dominated since their career began in 1991.
